1. What skills have you developed through this module and how effectively do you think you have applied them?
Throughout this module i think that i have developed my skilled of gathering research, making my research more thoroughly and relevant to my project throughout the brief and continuously referring back to my research to help me.
I have also developed my skills on illustrator, spending so much time on it illustrating 100 beards and posters etc, i have definitely improved my skills, learnt how to do thing i previously couldn’t and tons more short cuts. Workshops such as bookbinding helped me in this brief, teaching me something that i had never done before and allowing me to use it within my final outcome. Also I found with this brief, more so than others, i really got into it and started enjoying it, making my commitment to the course allot better, getting on with my work and staying late every night to get things finished.

2. What approaches to/methods of research have you developed and how have they informed your design development process?
I have realised how important research is during this module, usually i would just blag the research and just being making an outcome, but i have found that research is very important to making your outcomes successful. Using questionnaires to make sure what you are making would actually be of interest to someone and to help determine your audience, who to target your product to.
3. What strengths can you identify in your work and how have/will you capitalise on these?
My skills on illustrator have definitely improved and i feel that it shows in my outcomes.
4. What weaknesses can you identify in your work and how will you address these more fully?
With the collection 100 brief everything that i thought was really nice, however because i have spent so long staring at these designs their starting to look worse and worse and i just keep picking up on the bad points. Allot of spelling errors in my work and because i was trying to keep consistency throughout my outcomes it limited me to my choices of colour so i basically only had white black and brown to work with, which started to drive me insane after a while and meant that some of the outcome, like the poster, just looked dull and not very visually engaging.
5. Identify five things that you will do differently next time and what do you expect to gain from doing these?
Focussed on info graphics a little more and maybe come up with a few more outcomes. The problem with my project was with researching facial hair there is only so much you could research and i think i did pretty much all the types of research i could think of, it would of been better to get a few more primary source photos of beards however people on the street are abit reluctant to letting you take pictures of their facial hair.
Five things;
1. Blog more frequently
2. time management
3. broaden my research
4. more variation with outcomes
5. look into infographics more.
