Proliferatech - initial boards

initial design for the Final boards for this project ready for the final crit.

proliferatech - photos of final outcomes.

Here are some of the photos of our final products for this brief, really happy with how the whole project turned out, looks very profesional, with a strong visual consistency throughout the whole range.

Proliferatech - binding

Binding the documents with the white screw binds.

proliferatech - screenprinting

Screenprinting the the titles white onto the covers.

Like with everything it seems we managed to find a way of cocking this up aswel, just by being too messy we managed to smudge white ink all over the card before screen printing which meant we could only get a few printed without having to go back to laser cut and cut another batch of covers out.

In the end however i am quite happy with the way they turned out, the text sitting really well on the page and the white type working great with the grey stock. This project is starting to come together now and everything is starting to look well nice.

proliferatech - screenprinting

Now all the outcomes have been printed and covers screen printed the final stage for this brief is to screen print the titles onto the cover,
before screen printing later today i first had to settle on how i would like the text to sit on the cover untill i had something i was ready to print.

Here are the designs that i settled for ready to be exposed onto a screen

Proliferatech - buisiness cards

Some minor tweaks to the buisines cards and this is the design that i decided to settle for, now it is time to print them, i designed the buisiness card for steven chatfield whilst matt designed the card for his colleague.
These are the final printed cards, with the laser cut back showing one of the photographs beneath it, we both thought that this concept would come out really nice however the back just seemed abit cluttered and the laser cut pattern just seemed to be wasted, however we have a crit later so hopefully we will get some feedback on them.

Poliferatech - finished science paper with border.

Due to the bind we decided to go for for the science paper it meant that i had to slightly change the layout of my paper, allowing a 2cm bind on each edge of the page, it also mean that because we would be perfect binding the book that my idea for the references would no longer work and would be had to apply to a journal with a bind of just 2 screws, theirfore the references have now been added to the back of the document also.

prolifera tech - laser cut

We felt the same about the laser cuts for the rest of the project also, that the design sat too large on the paper, so had to go back to laser cutting and sit their all day re-cutting them again,

however the are the finished laser cut patterns 'smaller'..

Laser cut photojournal

More laser cut designs; the photojournal, here is the photojournal with the logo laser cut out of to show images underneath. After discussing it with matthew we both agreed that the laser cut pattern sat too large on the cover, not leaving enough space for the screen printed title, so we decided it would be best to laser cut them again but smaller and in the top corner which will also keep them more consistant with the rest of the designs.

Prolifera tech - posters.

Here are some posters that i have been designing throughout the project,
getting abit annoyed with them though because i have messed around with different formats for ages now and cant seem to put together anything that looks nice with the amount of content that we have to put on them.
Might have to miss out the posters if i cant find a nice layout.

First i edited some photos so they would fit better with the posters

here they are anyways, nothing that i am too proud of.

ProliferaTech - finished photojournal

here is the finished photojournal laid out and ready to print:
with the first page just being an edited photograph to have behind the laser cut pattern.

proliferatech - laser cutting

This is the folder which we laser cut, nice and simple with just the logo laser cut small into the bottom corner, we plan on screen printing onto these later on in white with just the company name, just to finish them off.

proliferatech - photojournal layouts

began laying out the photojournal, here are some experiments.
the green is to show where the bind would be.

proliferatech - photojournal layouts

Trying out further experiments for the photojournal along with layouts for the inside pages to see what will work best.
