i started off by looking at some dot to dot books and images to help gather some ideas and give me an idea of what they generally looked like and to create them.

i then tried to draw up some of my own dot to dots of animals.
From looking at these it became clear that it would be difficult to make my book look aesthetically pleasing from a graphic design perspective, dot to dots are generally quite boring with not allot going on.
I thought the best way to do this was to really focus on the illustrative part behind the dot to dots, making the outlines of the animals a strong as i could and putting as much detail into the centre of the dots to dots as possible, as well as combining these with colour backgrounds as apposed to the plain boring white backgrounds that you usually see with dots to dots.
