TRIP TO THE SWAROVSKI STORE

In order to get some primary research and maybe spark some ideas in our heads as to what design direction to take this brief down me and mitch decided it would be good to walk down the swarovski store itself to have a look at some of the design work down their, maybe pick up a few magazines and flyers and that and find out some more information about the company itself.
when we got their the first thing we noticed was how dull the store was, nothing but shelves with crystals and dull purple walls, no wonder swarovski arnt targeting a younger 'urban' female audience because this store was pretty intimidating to walk into, therefore a remodel of the store maybe key in our design proposals.
We were also given a range of catalogues and flyers and that from the people who worked their, the publications were ok, however you can see where they are going wrong straight away and it is instantly clear to you that they are targeting to the wrong audience, the layout, colour scheme, choice of imagery, all seemed abit dull, like their was something missing and was definitely not targeted to a young urban female audience.
