final crits.

Final crits of what we were up to so far with our animations.
so far i had an ident ready to show and 35 seconds of animation which i felt was sufficient.
For the crits we were split into groups of 6 and paired up to go round to crit everyone elses work, what they had so far, in pairs.

The crits were very helpful in pointing out little changes in the animation which could be made, noticing problems which you yourself wouldnt usually spot because you had spent so long staring at it is has become the norm.
Things which were pointed out in my crit,
In the main animation, the arrow from stage 2 which shoots across screen their is a line which is a different width to the rest of the arrow which looks abit off.

Also in the ident for some reason their is 2 lines ontop of the M which come up on the word 'coming soon'.

Luckily they were bother small things which were easily changed so i corrected them straight away.

A problem however for my animations which was pointed out in my crit was i have not been working within the cut off boundary whilst animating, so when the animations are played on different sized screen some of the animations will be cut off as i allot of the animations have fell to the bottom of the composition, this is allot to change at this moment in time, would mean going back and changing each individual part of the animation which i will not have time to do this late into the project, however it is something that i will bear in mind for the rest of the animation and keep out of the cut off point from now on.

A final point which was made was maybe BBC4 wasnt right for my animation, because even though their is the occasional quirky programme shown on their it is mainly filled with hard hitting factual documentaries which my programme would not fit into, it was suggest that i change the channel to BBC2 at around 10pm because it would be more suited a that sort of audience, which i something i definitely agree with and will conduct research into the BBC to find the perfect day and time for my programme and change it.

Other than that my work went down really well which i am happy with, seems i am moving in the right direction with this style of animating, just need to crack on.
