After experimenting with cover designs and possible layouts for the paper i decided it was time to begin laying it out, i started by messing around with the cover untill i found something i was happy with using the photo across the whole page and the text in white some of it enclosed in a box, adds a contemporary design style to the usual boring science papers without going too far and not making it suitable for the audience.
I also experimented using different grids and see what layout would work best for the document, untill i found a layout and grid that would work perfectly.
