speaking from experience - illustrations, first draft.

here are my first draft mock up versions of the illustrations for the second crit.

this is a rough idea of what i wanted my book to look like, a nice simple professional looking cover.

the first page, explaining what the book is about any why you need a mac.

first draft designs, the crit went quite well actually, everyone seemed to like my idea, the concept behind it and the humorous approach to the brief.
Feedback i was given, the background colour i was using doesnt really work, however that would just be the stock colour so thats ok, also some of the illustrations didnt work, the paint rocks gold looked more like chicken nuggets and didnt really fit in with the style of the other illustrations.

Amber also said that it wouldnt really work as a book, instead i should make a series of cards to just scatter around places, the nice illustrations would catch people attention along with the one liners then on the back explain the concept behind them and why people should buy a mac.
