speaking from experience - research

Finally i asked a 20 people in the class wether about their employment during university.
these are the questions i asked

  1. do you have a part time job while studying?
  2. if so do you find it essential to have this job to survive at university?
  3. if you do not have a job are you looking for one?
  4. how much money do you spend on average in a week.
to which i received these answers...

1 - 6 of the 20 people had a job
2 - each one found it essential earning a wage to survive
2 - 4 of the 14 people without a job were looking for one
3- it ranged from £40 to £200, most people spending around £100.

which shows that people students are struggling keeping to a budget, waisting money and relying on an income to survive which must mean that saving up £1000 at university to pay for a mac would be pretty much impossible.
